Looking After Your Purchases

Taking Care of Sterling Silver Jewellery

When you are not wearing Sterling Silver Jewellery, we recommend that it is stored in a jewellery box or air-tight container. Do not store in direct sunlight or damp conditions. Damp conditions will cause your jewellery to tarnish. Try to avoid getting your jewellery wet. Do not wear your jewellery while using the shower, bath or swimming. If necessary, polish your jewellery with a special ‘Silver Cloth’. ‘Silver Dip’ and polish can cause damage to delicate stones and materials. Take special care with; Mother of Pearl, Freshwater Pearl, Paua Shell and Amber. Avoid spraying perfumes, hair spray and deodorants directly on to jewellery. The chemicals they contain can harm and cause lasting damage to some stones. We do not recommend wearing jewellery if exercising or doing manual work.

We cannot accept tarnished or scratched jewellery as a returned item.

Natural Minerals, Fossils and Crystals

Natural materials are not made in a factory or by a machine, they are made by nature. Bear this in mind. Almost all fossils have to be prepared and if necessary repaired. This is quite normal, these items are millions of years old. Likewise, gemstones and crystals inevitably have fissures and imperfections, this is normal! They are made by nature, they are natural objects.
