We have a small selection of Tektites for sale, Moldavite from Central Europe and others from Central Asia. (We have sold out of some of the more unusual ones, hopefully we will increase our selection soon) There has been much debate and argument over the years about them. What they are? Are they created by lightening strikes? Are they ejected from lunar volcanos? They are fascinating objects, almost certainly caused by rapid heating and cooling of quartz rich material as it struck our planet. The incredible heat generated by the impact, being enough to melt the very rocks and soil and eject it great distances. Mystery solved! I think.
