A lovely little ‘Chilli Pepper’ Sponge Coral Pendant in a Sterling Silver setting. This is the perfect design for this ‘Red Hot’ coloured Coral. Coral is the birthstone for October and is also associated with the zodiac signs for Aries and Scorpio. Our Sponge Coral melithaea ochracea comes from the tropical seas off Bali. Sponge Coral grows in shallow reefs in the South China Sea, between Taiwan and Indonesia. The Sponge Coral used in our jewellery is not a species that is regarded as endangered. Additionally it is not a variety that features on the international endangered list. This variety of coral is a relatively quick growing coral, and farmed in a sustainable way.
