This gorgeous Faceted Aquamarine Pendant has a sterling silver clasp and is Aquamarine in its natural ‘raw honesty’. If you want your Aquamarine to be ‘boring’ crystal clear stone this is not for you. This unique hand-cut gemstone is mysterious and mesmerising in a totally different way, with a combination of clear and opaque.
Aquamarine is a member of the beryl family with a hexagonal crystal structure. The blue crystals can be clear or opaque with inclusions and a ‘milky’ appearance. The shade and intensity of the blue colouring is due to the presence of iron and titanium. The actual aquamarine crystals are formed from volcanic rocks and found within granite pegmatites.
Metaphysically, the March Gemstone, this stone can inspire courage, honesty and loyalty. A symbol of everlasting youth and happiness, once thought of as an antidote to poison. A protective gemstone, especially for sailors a stone that can bring tranquility and harmony while also helping issues with insomnia.
