This Blue Howlite ‘Wand’ pendant is set in Sterling Silver and has a 925 hallmark on the clasp. With the seven bright blue cabochons and unusual ‘Wand’ design this pendant will really cast a spell on you. Blue Howlite or ‘Turquenite’ is a semi precious stone with black veins and a similar appearance to Turquoise (and is sometimes seen for sale masquerading as turquoise) the colours are often very similar.
Blue Howlite is as a borate mineral that is principally that consists of calcium together with silica and other minerals. In its natural state it often comes in irregularly shaped nodules that are usually white. It is a mineral that owes its name to the Canadian mineralogist Henry How (hence the name Howlite) who first came across the mineral in 1868.
Metaphysically; Blue Howlite is a powerful calming stone and good at repelling negative energy. It is a stone that can help balance calcium levels within the body so aids both teeth and bones. When placed under the pillow it can help restful sleep.
