This Chevron Amethyst Egg measures 4cm and has gorgeous, wavy bands of colour. Chevron Amethyst, sometimes known as ‘Dog Tooth Amethyst’. It is a combination of Amethyst and White Quartz. This however is not formed in crystals, but in veins in the rock.

Amethyst is a purple form of the mineral quartz, and the February birthstone. It is probably one of the most famous out of all the semi-precious stones. Historically, amethyst has always been treasured as a semi-precious stone. In medieval times it was common for soldiers to wear Amethyst amulets.
