This Cubic Zirconia Cross Pendant is set in Sterling Silver with a 925 hallmark on the clasp. The six rectangular stones are channel set and have been cut to sparkle and catch the light at every opportunity.
Cubic Zirconia, also known as CZ is a laboratory grown crystal which are commonly used as a substitute for diamonds. Since the 1970’s when their commercial manufacture first began, CZ’s have become the principle competitor to diamonds. To the untrained eye they are very similar, as they are both clear and colourless and both have the ability to sparkle. The most striking difference though is the price, CZ’s are extremely affordable compared to the price of the price of natural diamonds. Cubic Zirconias are a cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide.
