Purbeck Stone Chess or Draughts Board 37cm x 37cm square
This Purbeck Stone Chess Board has been hand crafted in one of Dorsets oldest working quarries. A quarry situated in the Isle Of Purbeck, close to the village of Langton Matravers. The polished stone board measures 14 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches square (37 cm x 37 cm). The back has also been finished in green felt material. By using the two contrasting colours of stone from different beds makes this an excellent example of true craftsmanship.
