Snowflake Obsidian Pendant, set in Sterling Silver
This oval Snowflake Obsidian Pendant is set in Sterling Silver with a 925 hallmark on the back. The colours of the Snowflake Obsidian cabochon are typical of this very calming semi precious stone, hazy greys and black.
Snowflake Obsidian is a form of jet black natural glass that also contains grey/white radial inclusions. It is an igneous rock that has been formed by the rapid cooling of molten lava. The white/grey colours are due to the presence of the white silica mineral ‘cristosbalite’.
Metaphysically, it is well known for is various calming and also its grounding properties. This is a gentle mineral that can help sooth emotional stress and help critical thinking. It is also a useful talisman for the ‘not so young’ who are suffering the aches and pains of growing old… aching muscles and sore joints.
