A classic Tear Drop in Dendritic Agate in Sterling Silver with a 925 hallmark. This is an extremely attractive pendant, handmade in a timeless contemporary design.
Dendritic Agate is a beautiful milky white translucent semi-precious stone. Within the stone are delicate and distinctive fern, or moss like patterns. The patterns were created when iron and manganese ions ‘leaked’ into the stone as it was being formed. As these impurities seeped into the stone they crystallised forming these inorganic branch, and also tree like patterns.
Agates are commonly found in nodules within volcanic rocks. The principal components of the different varieties of agate are quartz and chalcedony. These colourful varieties seen in jewellery include, Moss Agate, Blue Lace Agate and also Green Agate.
Metaphysically, helps create a peaceful and tranquil environment. It is also a protective stone, one that can protect the wearer in pestilent and stormy weather. This is the ‘Stone of Plentitude’ because of its associations with prosperity and abundance.
