The vast majority of our Amber Jewellery comes from the Baltic region of Northern Europe. This is where the worlds best Amber comes from, with majority coming from Poland. Amber isn’t a stone, but fossilised tree resin, (not sap) and was formed around 45 million years ago. The typical colours of Amber vary from pale honey colours to golden ‘cognac’ brown. There are also incredible yellowy green colours, which is commonly known as green Amber. The natural inclusions are usually due to the presence of air bubbles and water during its formation millions of years ago. These light catching inclusions refract the light, and bring the amber to life. Additionally amber can contain organic material, leaves, insects and spiders. Insects that have been trapped and encapsulated for 40 million years. These can be perfectly preserved even though they are many millions of years old.
Metaphysically, Amber can to bring positive energy and has the ability to purify negative energy. It also has a reputation as being powerful and protective with the ability to promote a positive mental state. Amber is also useful as a powerful chakra cleanser and healer. It can also help the body rebalance and heal itself.
